Tuye side table set against a serene backdrop of a limewash plaster wall. Table made out of natural limestone with stone's inherent imperfections being embraced in the design.

TUYE

side table

Tuye (or camel) is the most important animal for the Kazakh nomads, and had always been considered as a sign of luxury and stability for the travelling nation. While certainly modern and refined, the table carries a whimsical take on Anya’s own memories.

The choice of the material is inspired by the Ustyurt plateau in Mangystau area of Kazakhstan. The limestone there is formed by the fossilized shells of prehistoric molluscs. The stone for the table is carefully selected for its tactile qualities that do not hide the imperfections and instead let them tell you a story of their own.
